How does Gateway help Nazarene Missions International?
There are meetings open to all church attendees and community members on the second sunday of every month.
Gateway helps create Crisis Care Kits that are distributed to areas around the world devastated by natural disasters. In the past Crisis Care Kits have been sent to Haiti, Sri Lanka, Jordan, and even the USA following a natural disaster such as fires (CA), tornadoes (KS), or hurricanes (LA).
This fall, Gateway Children's Ministry created School Pal-Paks. These gallon-size ziplock bags are filled with supplies needed by NMI schools around the world. One bag (approx $5) helps keep children in school! Our bags are going to schools in the Middle East!
Since 1974 more than 5000 years in total labor has been donated by Nazarene World Mission's Work and Witness outreach. Church members visit locations around the globe in order to build structures including houses and churches, provide compassionate ministries, and lead people to a relationship with Christ.
Gateway has an outreach mission to local Native American reservations.
Gateway is currently involved with the Jesus Film. We had a successful showing this October; we'll be having another event around Easter! Bring friends and neighbors!
Countries: Iraq, Israel, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Egypt, Creative Access
Gateway Missions' winter focus is on the Eastern Mediterranean region,
also referred to as the
Middle East.

Gateway's Christmas Projects 2009

On the first Sunday of December, envelopes will be provided for anyone who wishes to contribute. Additionally, check out the bottom of the page for Nazarene Compassionate Ministries gift cards!
Like the School Pal-Packs in the fall, Gateway Kids will be sending Crisis Care Kits to this conflicted region. These kits are sent in banana boxes (which can be obtained at grocery stores for free). All shipping has been taken care of by a generous donor.

There are 4 Nazarene schools in this region that
provide education for 900 children K-10.
Schools like this are kept functioning through
funding from Nazarene Compassionate Minis-
tries, Work & Witness groups, child sponsor-
ships, and individual donations.
It's impossible to put into words the importance
of providing a safe place for children to get an
education, especially in a country with a history
of conflict. With a stable foundation, these kids can grow up to be positive leaders in their church, community, and country.
This clinic in Damascus, Syria, helps almost 170 patients a month. It is staffed by volunteer doctors who provide free care to simple conditions and referrals for more complex health problems. $25 provides a visit and accompanying medications for one patient.

Child Sponsorship Alert
An opportunity has arisen for the church to reach an urgent and immediate need! There has been a recent flood of children who need to be enrolled in the Nazarene School in Damascus, but there is no money to take them in. As God leads you to participate in our Christmas missions project, remember that you can make a one-time donation to meet this urgent need when you check "child sponsorship" on your donation envelope.
